Established in 1951, McLeansville Fire & Rescue provides fire suppression & prevention, rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizens of McLeansville, Sedalia, Gibsonville, and surrounding Greensboro and Guilford County. McLeansville Fire & Rescue also provides mutual aid to Guilford County EMS and Greensboro Fire Department, with Guilford County EMS Medic 4 based at McLeansville Fire Department Station 47. Our current Insurance Classification is a Class 3.
Our district includes a diverse mix of rural and suburban housing, multistory office buildings, strip malls, educational facilities, and about two miles of Interstate 40/85. We are a combination career & volunteer department with full-time 24/7 staffing at two of our three stations. The career staff is complimented by volunteers living in the vicinity of each station responding to calls. All of our firefighters, both career and volunteer, are certified to a minimum of Firefighter II, many are also certified Emergency Medical Technician Basics or Emergency Medical Responders.
We currently operate out of three stations. Station 47 is located on Frieden Church Road just west of the intersection of McLeansville Road. Station 37 is located on Knox Road just south of Burlington Road. Station 27 is located on High Rock Road between Huffine Mill Road and Frieden Church Road.
McLeansville Fire Department operates Three Engines, Two Tankers, One Brush Truck, and a reserve pump/Tanker based at our main station. McLeansville Fire Rescue also operates an ATV Rescue & Support Team that is available to be deployed anywhere in Guilford County.
